I have tacx neo my bluetooth keeps saying needs application to connect to my Samsung S6 Lite tablet

Anyone else had this issue ? Sometimes it connects and drops out half way through a session …its driving me crazy and im thinking of cancelling zwift !

Ive tried everything , it keeps saying an app is needed to use this device , i have the tacx app, obviously zwift …help !

Are you trying to pair it to your Samsung device’s built-in Bluetooth settings? It should not be paired that way. If you ever did that, you should “forget” the device in Bluetooth settings, or reset the Bluetooth settings.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Any chance you can screenshot that error message? I’ve never heard of that one before.

I looked into your server logs for clues and noticed you’re using a Samsung S6 Lite tablet. For some reason, that specific model of Samsung has a very spotty record of reliability.

Is there another device (smartphone / laptop / Apple TV / different model tablet) you can try to run the main Zwift app?

Hi thanks for replying , ive tried reseting my bluetooth and it wont connect , please see attached screen shot .

Hi ive tried a screenshot , it wont work , it also says an App is needed to use this device on my smartphone, so i think the problem is probably with the tacx neo !

However it does connect perfectly on the tacx app , so zwift must be the problem maybe .

In your situation, I suggest contacting Garmin support, and Zwift support. See what they say.

Its 4th July there closed .
