Even just a basic On/Off check-box in profile settings for each element of the HUD would make a MASSIVE difference. So being able to turn on/off individually the Nearby Riders list section, Segment Data section, Mini Map, Elevation indicator, Power/HR window, Riders Behind Distance thingy
This would surely be about 30-minutes work for a proper programmer and would really make a huge difference to the HUD usefulness. All on or All off is kinda useless.
Additional changes to allow for moving and/or resizing of those various HUD elements would definitely be nice, but more of a luxury addition
Ideally I would like a fully customizable menu like some of the 3rd party apps have. That being said, like the Camera views I wish you had a handful of templates to choose from: Nothing, Race with different stats, Free Ride (current format), Event Format with stats different than Free Ride, ADZ style HUD with progress being made.
Totally agree. We can already toggle on/off the HR/Power graph while riding and just wish we could do the same for the other elements displayed.
Personally I think this needs to go in another direction. Rather than HUD customisation I’d rather they plough more effort in to a revamp of the companion app. If the companion app could become more like my Garmin head unit where I can have customisable data screens, plus route mapping and something similar to Climb Pro, then the data displayed on screen would be irrelevant and we’d be riding indoors much the same as we ride outdoors.
I agree, but I guess there has to be an assumption that not everyone uses the Companion App. There are already functions missing from the Companion App too - like no Bell button.
I would also like to be able to disable certain HUD elements from time to time.
Mostly the segment record thing and the riders around me.
The only reason i still have my hud active when using sauce is to see the map.
Also… not related but what the EFF is up with ingame chat?
WHO’S BRILLIANT IDEA was it to have chat bubbles overlay each other like they do now?
We can’t see what people type so why have it in the first place?
Thank JustinMayfield for sauce! zwifting is better with it!
Or the more obvious - no gradient indicator.
I’ll be happy if we only get transparency in the main HUD white box. I just got a LG 48GQ900-B OLED monitor and while I’m not worried about OLED burn in, it would be great to have that big white box with some transparency.
if they add gradient and the power/HR graph to the companion app i’ll happily get rid of the HUD forever - other than those two items it adds nothing compared to the companion app. (and conversely the companion app adds very few/if any metrics that aren’t in the HUD)
Hi!
I woukld like to see some changes to the UI when riding a workout or whatever. I would like to be able to adjust what panes I want to see, for example I would like a right hand pane that can be adjusted (marked area)
so you can toggle it on/off or to see only your self. For now you have to remove all info or keep all info.

Ditto!! Why did Zwift remove some of the ability to remove / toggle that section visible or not? This all or nothing really sucks. Please bring back the ability to customize the HUD!
I’d like to see the HUD where I can select which particular module(s) I’d like, and which ones I want to remove.
There would be an options / settings configuration in the menu where I can select to hide (in-ride data that is available on the Companion App), but I could select to keep my power and HR data on the main screen. So that each element is selectable / deselect able for a preferred view, rather than a 100% on / 100% off option.
I often hide the HUD, and use the Companion App to see information if I need it.
The one thing that I miss then is the gradient, since the Companion App doesn’t show that.
Also, I use an old Wahoo Element to pair to my smart trainer, and configure a page or two, so I can get average power, average W/kg, L/R balance, gear information from the KICKR BIKE, etc.
Hello Forum!
I was thinking the other day if we can get more training data on the actual layout in the game?
I have designed a small design of how it could look.
I know there is a 3th part thing on zwift indsider where you have to pay 2$ a month but thought this should be part of the game especially the amount we pay for subscription… or is it just me?
what do you think about it?
Maybe i can design a small wrench button at the right corner of the banner to customizations of the banner.
@Mikael R. H
What size and resolution screen is that on, as it looks a bit cluttered
Personally I don’t care that much about average power, average speed, average HR. But I know some do. I’d like a draft savings indicator during races though, etc… In general I think it would be good to have customization so if folks want to add those averages they can, but we don’t need it there if we don’t want it etc.
Yep, pretty much my thoughts. I’d rather see a better route profile, customised HR / Power graph etc.
I see value in an average power/HR but only if there’s a lap button.
@Martin_Reading its just a Print screen from the game. but the design is made in higher res. just to show my design.
How it’s possible that such basic needs like average normalized power, lap time, lap average power, 10 second power etc… still haven’t been added to the HUD?
Every cyclists have been using those features for decades on their bike computers, and yet Zwift has been proposing the same HUD and metrics for 9 years. This features has been propose 5 years ago, it has one of the highest number of votes and yet their teams continue to ignore this in favor of more complex and gaming-like features. They have 700 employees but not a single team can work on this for a month and get it done?
