How ZRS Score changes are made

Anyone with any real interest in races uses vELO and community events. You’ve been discussing this long enough to have understood that.

i think it’s objectively less impactful. i sure don’t think i can repeat the stuff i could do in ZP legacy and CE in ZRS

Really ? With some carefull planning I could still do it without much problems.

you could, but i’m not saying it’s difficult to nose dive your ZRS all the way to your floor either. it’s better than zp and legacy by virtue of the fact people who are so inclined to do so have to waste their time thinking about it and executing it it in the first place

of course, there are things zhq can do to make it more inconvenient also. i think the best way to combat tanking is to make it annoying or time consuming to do, rather than to try (and fail) to make it impossible to do

All true, but the main thing why CE had to go, for most here as I read, was to get rid of the sandbaggers. Well I think we can conclude so far that has failed misserably.

And to me it looks like Zwift has only one team working on these things and wiht the TdZ just done, Zwift Games and Big Spin event comming up, it looks like work on ZRS has been put on hold or perhaps back to minimum time and expensives.

Here is an example of trying to tank, B rider 650+ ZRS. Top result a drop of 25velo, there are 2 results missing from the bottom another 1826 and a DNF for a total of 10 races back to mid Feb. A total of 8 minimum effort not reached results,… no score change, does Zwift not implement anything like this?

There is some sort of minimum effort required to get points drop after finishing a race, but I’ve not worked out a ballpark figure for it yet.

My guess is it’s linked to your best 5mins in the last 90 days and your best 5mins in the race/TT.

69th in E didn’t meet minimum effort in Tiny 4, after three races above 230 standard…

Broken,… different account than I posted above

Did they have a stats reset in January?
Thats an odd account.

Even that is kinda easy to manipulate. I tried a while ago and could easily drop my vELO score.
He just doesnt know how to do it properly. Or he just doesnt care about his vELO and is just dropping his ZRS.

51 starters in a race, 48 finishers, 31 riders got an increase in score, 17 got a reduction which is a third of the starters.
At this rate theres going to be more riders trying to tank than win because riders who cannot win in a lower pen but finish mid pack will be promoted up to the next pen if they don’t tank their score.

Riders who race a lot are kinda screwed indead against people who hardly race. Even if they never win their score will go up while the occaisional racers stays where he/she is for a long time.

141.43 are race ranking points in Zwiftpower - is anything else than ZRS, isn’t it? Or did I miss anything?

Just looked that racer up, very odd.

I can only presume they had “bad” power data removed from around 26th Dec '24 until around 7th Jan '25.

I cannot find him on ZP!?!

Highest individual ranking in D.

Thanks, it’s crazy. With his CE and ZRS I don’t race against him :rofl::rofl:

that first statement is what a few people say they want, it doesnt necessarily mean it’s what the whole community wants. in my experience what people say on forums and third party websites isn’t always the same as what other people are saying when they’re actually using the platform. you can easily think something is some type of majority opinion or a consensus when everyone is agreeing with an opinion, when really it’s just a few people agreeing with an opinion

i would like it if zwift communicated more openly with the users too

I would rather have them finish projects before shifting the team to another. Cause to me it really looks like one team is doing all the work. They come up with something, get to work and than abandon or shelve the project.

Halo bikes were announced for over a year ago. And shelved.
HUD Upgrades, we got two new parts and got told the rest would follow. It got shelved.
ZRS came into play. Hired some Phd scientists who knew it all. Start was a complete failure, some bits got improved, some bits got shelved.
Than came Tour of Watopia and ZRS got shelved all together.
The Tour ended and we got some work on ZRS again in december.
Tour de Zwift started and we havent heard about ZRS ever again.
Now we get Zwift Games and Big Spin event so all focus is on that and the so openly known flaws in ZRS arent being worked on it seems. And even the updates promised in November arent made.
Rumours are we are finally getting the Halo upgrades at the end of March so am afraid it will take some time before they have time and money for ZRS again.
