Full suspension mtb. With the rebound closed off and the shock “firm,” seated pedaling is pretty much solid, but a standing sprint is a bouncy mess on the fork
My guess is the main difference is that the feel of the trainer resistance is going to be different because the tiny chainring means you will spin the flywheel relatively slowly compared to the conditions it’s designed around.
With virtual shifting I haven’t noticed anything that seems to weird. I can always find a gear.
