A dinosaur or robot (which is what we see a certain times of year) doesn’t have that barrier.

These ‘kits’ are also “fixed”, meaning you can only have the dino or robot head with the related dino or robot body. IIRC, the issue (which was specifically related to adding ponytails or braids, I think) with crossing the head/torso barrier was that Zwift would then have to add a ponytail/braid to EVERY jersey option (i.e. it could not be something simply ‘overlaid’ on the existing kit when chosen as an option.

This sounds plausible, but look how the rearmost dino head spike sticks out over the avatars’ bodies. I’m not a graphics guy but it seems like something similar could be done with hair, although it could be more complicated because long hair would fall on the avatar’s back rather than sticking up in the air.

Hijab

The cyclists and track athletes I see wearing hijabs have them tucked under their jerseys/shirts. It could be done in Zwift with a head/neck skin alone, nothing involving the torso.
