High Power on Traveltrac fluid trainer

(Nathan Deck) #1

Did my first ride last night and I noticed that the virtual power listed was higher than I was use to seeing on TrainerRoad. It was not extreme, but it was enough to be noticeable (30-40w). Is anyone else having this issue? I am using the exact same set up I was on TR… Didn’t move the bike a bit.

I experienced the exact same thing…however, I have ridden on a calibrated CT and found that I am able to hold much higher watts than on my Traveltrac with TrainerRoad. My guess is TrainerRoad’s estimate is low but I am not sure. Either way, you are not alone.

I am also in the same boat. Around 40 watts for the same HR, effort, and speed on my garmin.

Same here - I achieved amazing max and average wattage on my TravelTrac fluid trainer with Zwift.

Thought I was superman - until I was humbled once again, during our group ride - with fellow riders who consistently shell ou less power (measured via their power meters on their road bikes, and Zpower-capable indoor trainers)
