Feel free to link slap me if the is a good existing article but say you are riding with a group and you have people that are 1.0w/kg, 2w/kg and 4w/kg riders. Is there a way to allow those people (mostly the 2 & 4 riders) to allow for them to put forth efforts in their range but only go as fast as the 1.0 w/kg? I know it’s not a real world ask but it would seem to be a nice feature in the zwift world.
Works exactly like that in group workouts (you can find them in the events listings), but not in free rides.
See the “keep together” feature for meetups.
Really?? Ever time I have done a “group” ride with a ride leader setting a pace at let’s say 2.0w it always turns into a race with the ride leader (yellow beacon) usually bringing up the rear, next to the sweep accompanied by very small sized group. If I want to ride at the set group pace it has always been my responsibility to keep that pace and Zwift has never throttled my power not speed but if there is a way I am all for it. Please tell me what I am doing wrong?
Group ride and Group workout is different. Group Workouts have a rubber band that keep all the riders together no matter how hard they pedal.
Thanks!!! I don’t know why they can’t keep a group ride together at at a certain power max like as you say in group workouts.
If meetups fit your definition of group ride, it can be done. Just select the “keep together” option when setting up the meetup.
