Halo Bike upgrades - climbing not a priority (apparently)

Hi all,

Like many people out there I’m working my way through achieving Level 5 bike upgrades for the ‘big 3’ - Pinarello, Specialized and Cannondale, in search for the ‘Halo bike’.

What I have noticed is - level distance seems to be the main goal. There are very few level upgrades for climbing. I have completed the Specialized Aethos levels, however Pinarello and Cannondale don’t have a climbing bike to get one to Level 5.

I thought it would have been a good idea to have 2 bikes that have a distance level upgrade and 1 bike for a climbing level upgrade for each for the ‘big three’, rather than using a mountain bike - say for Specialized.

Any thoughts,

Cannondale Evo (the classic one) should have been elevation category for upgrades, given it is a famed climbing bike and known for sub 5kg builds. It is a very light bike IRL.

That said this is all set in concrete now so no changes can happen because they would impact people already on the upgrade path. It would make someone, somewhere upset.

Yeah they would have to add new bike options IMO

I just bought the Cannodale Evo and it appears it’s a distance level upgrade - see screen dump.

Which Evo is an elevation level upgrade?

None of them, but the one above should be if you look at what the bike is for in real life.

I just spent a few weeks doing distance to get that to level 5.

The bike above should be high end elevation.
