I mainly take part in group rides with an advertised w/kg of around 2.0. However there are many group rides that advertise a wide range - 1.0-5.0 w/kg for example. What’s going on in these rides?
These are possibly open events to all abilities to complete the ride based on either distance or timing.
There may or may not be a ride leader present. So in absence of one riders will need to organize themselves to form groups based on preferred pace.

Try a Tour of Watopia ride. Despite appearing to be Level based with A, B, C, D groups, the letters are really only for picking the distance you want to ride. These are all really “E” rides for Everyone
