Game Update v1.73 [September 2024]

I can’t tell if the colored roads are a bug or intentional

FWIW, no issues. Steering worked fine with the Sterzo

Maybe Apple has a requirement for apps that text be greater than 1mm in height?

When will the Apple TV release be available? ‘Awaiting Apple approval’ doesn’t sound promising at this stage :grimacing:

Doesn’t work for me on a windows laptop, started a bug report

windows laptop here as well. Weird.

Please note that a fix for this Training Peaks-related crash is solved in game version 1.73.2. Please update Zwift when this version is available to you.

Having the climb pro HUD pop up for a 7m bump is ridiculous, please make it optional.

Had my 1.73 update on thursday. Today i had another update. Since the lastest one, my graphics have gone all glitchy. I’ve tried loggin in and out, restarting, adjusting graphicssettings, nothing fixes it. Other pieces of scenery just keep flickering on screen, like the grass on the screengrabs.

Is that a PC? Which GPU does it have? If you post the system and display info from dxdiag.exe I might have suggestions to make it better.

I think it pops up whenever a 3% is coming up.

IMO it should be configurable, OR… require some X length & X % grade before it comes up. ie: the climb must be 0.5km long. Not just 3% for a split second.

Because yes there are some silly times it pops up, especially on the rollers right now.

I assume this can be done eventually, but right now it’s really silly that it comes up even in areas that I wouldn’t consider to be “a hill”.

does it pop up when doing an erg workout as well?

I rode Achterbahn after Zwift has updated and I was pleased with the new look of the HUD. In Insbruck there was no problem with the “climb pro” graph on flat short hills poping up all the time. On MacBook I was also able to read all data without a problem and I use Zwift without my glasses, which I normally wear all the time.

The only thing I would change is the way the end of KOM is displayed - instead of heavy bar at the bottom of the HUD section in the middle of the screen rather much simpler bar on the left side just like it is already in climb portals. I wait for other elements of the HUD to be refreshed. Then it will be slick.

The climb popup HUD suffers from the same long standing issue of the game often showing the wrong elevation profile, I.e. NOT the route you are doing.

So now we get to see this wrong info front and centre? At least the gradient map is so small/useless that it can be ignored. Not really the case with the new climb popup…

E.g. when you are climing out of the desert, but not going into Titans, it will show the profile of going into Titans… so anyone who doesn’t know better will think there is more climbing coming, when actually they are about to descend.

Why would this feature be launched without having fixed that fundamental issue??

True. Another example, if you are doing Wandering Flats in Makuri Islands, the climb HUD will show the temple KOM profile, when you are actually taking left to the flat road.

Someone has likely to already mentioned this, but the gradient pop up doesn’t perform properly on rolling terrain such as Titans Grove. It pops up and disappears frequently as the terrain moves between low slight positive and negative gradients and as it winds back and forth directionally. As a result it’s not on enough to be useful through several sections and is a bit of a distraction.

This is Zwift, how it is now is how it will be forever.

Why this wasn’t fit into the mini map at top right and always on (who cares about the profile except when it’s about to go up am I right) is beyond me.

On the new Mayan 8 route, during the climb from the Jungle, the climb HUD showed the climb ahead, even though there was to be a turn on the bypass.
In that situation, the climb should have showed what was ahead only until the bypass turn, not continuing straight ahead.

Hey! At my pace that could easily take 5 minutes.

I would try deleting Zwift and reinstalling.
