Game Update v 1.86 [March 2025]

now that people might be changing bikes more frequently to level them up can we fix the bug where third person view is really zoomed in after changing a bike.

unpairing and repairing play controllers fixes it but quite annoying.

And, while theyā€™re at it, maybe they can fix the ā€˜bugā€™ where the bike someone is using in-game doesnā€™t show in their profile (in the Companion app) unless they are riding one of the earlier bikes offered.

And put the ā€˜upgrade levelā€™ of their bike along with that!

Dell Laptop Windows 11

Was crashing but now having workouts intermittently not syncing to Garmin. Any way to resync workouts that didnā€™t sync? Love paying for this experience!

Can you share the model ID for the laptop, or the CPU and GPU in it? Game crashes can often be remedied with a GPU driver update, but depending on which GPU it is, you may need to go to the GPU manufacturer for the driver update rather than getting it from Microsoft. ā€œDell laptopā€ is not precise enough to know. The model ID (usually on a sticker on the bottom) or details from the Windows DXDIAG program would provide the answer.

@Clay_Monahan_Surpris hi and welcome to Zwift forums.

Two things: the expected behavior is for the Play controllers to reconnect automatically. Key thing: both controllers have to be connected to game to enable steering.

More fundamentally: why do you have to power one controller off to begin with? This part is not clear, and if you suspect a hardware fault - please contact one of my Support colleagues offline so we can troubleshoot directly with you.

Lastly - a sidebar that should have no impact on your ability to steer, but I peeked at your server logs and your KICKR Core is on outdated firmware v. 1.1.3. You should still update to the latest v 1.5.36 using the Wahoo app (hereā€™s how

Hi since the update video screenshots is always disabled when I start up Zwift even if Iā€™ve enabled it in the settings. Tried this multiple times but my preference of enabling video screenshots doesnā€™t ā€˜stickā€™ always reset to disabled on startup.

Still on 1.85 on my iPhone. Any way to force the upgrade?

Go to the App Store and check the version there, tap update. Should be 1.86 everywhere by now.

Could also remove the app and reinstall it.

Duh! (Thatā€™s for me). Always forget to just go to the App Store. Thanks, Paul.

Itā€™ll be Prestige levels before you know it. Faster XP but have to unlock the gear again.

Is that something to do with not having enough RAM? Defaults to off now if too low on RAM.

Yeah but I think it should remember the choice to enable it. Not sure if itā€™s a bug or not.

PC has 8Gb of RAM and six cores

Iā€™m not sure how they are calculating available memory for this feature, but if the machine uses integrated graphics then it probably has less than 8GB available to Windows, so thatā€™s a possible reason. You should probably contact support about it.

PC has a separate graphics card and is only used for Zwift so not much else running in Win 10. They do suggest even if it was under spec you should be able to override it in the preferences which Iā€™ve tried but always on restart itā€™s back to disabled. Iā€™ll contact support see what they say. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Yeah you should be fine, it should work IMO. Zwift recognizing less memory than installed seems to be visible when analyzing the log file in zwiftalizer.com (overheard via ZPCMR group)

Updated today. Canā€™t believe how ā€˜buggyā€™ this update has been. Never had so many problems - kept freezing every 3-4s. Restarted but no improvement. Any thoughts/ideas?

You would need to share details about what you are running the game on to possibly get advice from the community. Those issues are usually specific to your system hardware. Personally itā€™s been fine for me but weā€™re probably on different hardware.
