We discussed in the 1.76 thread, normally Zwift auto makes a video screenshot, which it tries to do but the files are all 0 bytes. Even if I manually do they are 0 bytes. I set the windows 11 setting to allow permission to write to the videos folder so it seems not to be this.
Interestingly in Zwiftalizer it says the feature is disabled but in the app settings itās on so it could be that the setting is not saved somehow?
Is there a config file to check?
Hello. Since the latest update I have a problem with play controllers sometimes downshifting multiple virtual gears on a single short press of the side button on the left controller. The upshifting works normally (single gear only).
Documents\Zwift\prefs.xml
Look for this part:
<VIDEO_CAPTURE_ENABLED>1</VIDEO_CAPTURE_ENABLED>

I looked into your logs and it does appear that video screenshots is enabled on your device (so thatās good, no further action required from you there), but there appears to be a technical issue related to the underlying Microsoft Media Foundation system on your PC that performs a lot of the actions related to video capture on Windows. Iāve reported this to the team.
In the meantime, a few follow-up questions:
- Do you have any other apps running on the device at the same time that may have a video capture-type feature? (e.g. screen capture software, OBS, etc.). Iām assuming you donāt, but itās helpful to rule out.
- Are you able to create any files in the folder
{Your User Profile Folder}/Movies/Zwift? E.g. if you navigate to that location, right-click anywhere in the folder and go to New ā Text Document, can you create and save a document in that location?

I turned my brake bias to zero a long time ago. Was having issues with bike not moving. The brake would sometimes slow me down, or stop me in a race. Unacceptable, I just shut it off. I donāt have to worry about it now.

I did think it was the nvidia overlay, it worked a while ago but you never know, anyhow last session I did I didnāt run it and it was same so not that. This time 5-Nov I didnāt run it. 31-10 I had but it doesnāt seem to be this anyhow.
I have a couple of background apps, HWInfo, Nvidia app, BOINC, Defender. These didnāt cause any issues 2-3 months ago on my old Zwift PC. I can try to close them out too.
I have a clean install of 24H2 from 12-Oct, maybe there is a change to the media platform in this version of windows.
I can create a text file, copied another video file to %Usr%\Videos\Zwift
I have let apps take screenshots and videos enable there is no logged request to allow it however

@Toby_Broom Thanks for following up on this. One more thing ājust to rule outā ā if you happen to be using the āNā edition of Windows, youāll need to install the optional Media Feature Pack, instructions here: Media Feature Pack for Windows N - Microsoft Support
My assumption is that you arenāt running Windows version āNā (and I believe it shouldnāt have this failure mode if you were), but itās one more thing to rule out just in case.
Just the regular version.

I thought that was me / remote playing up! Affected me also.
Same problem with 0 byte video screenshot. Win 11 24H2, Zwift 1.77
I started Zwift without pairing the controllers and that worked but will try messing with the braking sensitivity.
Oddly, I can no longer listed to music on the iPad with Zwift running.

Zwift freezes after 2h ride with robopacer
With lenovo ideapad 3, with AMD ryzen 5-5500U and AMD Radeon graphics
Updated the drivers and reinstalled zwift but still the same
I noticed that zwift uses more and more of my RAM memory, starting at 1400MB then jumping to 2100 and gradually climbing to 3000 and then drop back to 2100 and float between 2100-2700 for some time and then start climbing again to 8400 where it crashed
Since yesterday, robopacers are disapearring and coming back, noticed with yumi and Coco

I closed out as many background apps as I could but no changes. I try the nvidia app to see if there is a general problem or its specific to Zwift.

When you see the gear get stuck in the Zwift UI are you still feeling resistance changes when using the KICKR BIKE Shift to switch gears, or does neither the UI nor the resistance change when initiating a gear change?
Nah still getting resistance changes.
I think I know what might be the issue with mine, Iām running sauce with kickr gears bike mod and the mod grabs the gear stream so zwift canāt then connect to it.
Il have a test at some point but my pc/bike are tucked away due to a refurb for a few days.
