Game update v 1.77 [October 2024]

On Windows the phased rollout is determined by the machine ID, which can be reset by doing a Windows reset, which would roll the dice again. Or if you have another machine available to run Zwift you could launch it and see if it gets the update.

I got the update 60 min ago.

That seems to be a bit much to get it a little earlier. I don’t really get why I wouldn’t be able to update whenever it’s available. Previous version also dropped a day late for me so I missed out on the first day of ToW bonus XP. Sure it’s all about the cycling, but I’m a data nerd, so the numbers matter to me too

They’ve said they want it to be random :man_shrugging:

Which is bullshit as I’m pretty sure the event ends for everyone at the same time and I’m not rewarded the bonus XP retroactively.

Meanwhile 2 days after rollout started and I still don’t have it.

I know I shouldn’t let this get to me, but since the gamification element helps me stay motivated, it does annoy me.

Are there 6 new route badges in this release?

Don’t recall seeing some of these route names before.

Wishlist for upcoming patches:
Kicke Bike buttons: Rear view. Make one button a press and hold for rearview. Maybe the u-turn or select button could be customizable?
Default camera angle: Make last used camera angle default, e.g. not reverting to 3rd person if last camera angle is 1st person view on next start up.
Force field visuals: Not showing in 1st person view.

Hi @evan-zwift, did you touch the “return ride on” functionality in the prior update v1.76? I am running Zwift on Android tablet.

I can no longer return ride on via Zwift Play. I used to see the Y icon whenever I received a ride on from other person but not anymore (noticed in two rides today and yesterday). Not sure if others have the same issue.

That’s a very good idea to make one of the kickr bike buttons show rear view. Handy for races and TTT. I’d replace the select button, which I don’t think I’ll use much.

Hi. Looks great but yesterday I had no ghost riders in the nearby Zwifters list. Is this a bug?

What do your holo replay settings look like? I wonder if that got reset somehow.

Hi Paul. Thanks for checking in.
I was able to see the ghost riders but they weren’t listed the Zwifters nearby. I don’t see anyone calling it out so might have been a one-off. Got a new training planned tonight.

Since the last update begin this week, it seems like the ghost riders are not included in the list of Zwifters nearby. So if you’re not staying very close to the ghost rider on the road, you don’t see at all how you’re doing.

Yep, it seems to be a common problem.

3 posts were merged into an existing topic: HoloReplay ghost riders not in Zwifters Nearby List [October 2024]

Those are the new routes coming with the new expansion in the next update.

An other one could be double press for screenshot e.g. Many opportunities now that the integration of the Kickr Bike buttons has been made with Zwift, but a rear view click to hold would be my first pick.

Hi,
big issues here after upgrade to 1.77.
Running Zwift on Windows 11 on a Ryzen7 with integrated RADEON GPU.
No issues until today, very good performance all the time.
But not anymore.
The playback is only stuttering (starts immediately, but gets worse and worse after a few minutes), in the meantime even the drivers are no longer displayed, I have screenshots on which only bikes can be seen on the road. After a while it also affects the ERG mode, which reacts far too late and far too slowly.
Changing the settings is completely irrelevant, changes nothing at all.
Reinstalling the game doesn’t help either, as it is immediately installed on 1.77.
I simply can’t use the game at all at the moment.
:frowning:

Same for me. My route holo replays have also disappeared from the RHS list (see below). The holo’s are still tagged above periodically like all riders (and how distance behind at the bottom of the screen when I’m ahead).

That situation where the riders disappear usually means you ran out of CPU, which would be surprising given your hardware. On that system you must have more than 8GB RAM installed because of the GPU sharing system RAM. You can also get back some performance by disabling video screenshots.
