@shooj It’s not something I have focused on to be honest. However, I would say that I typically use a remote keyboard to end the game using mouse clicks on the W10 machine. However, I’d say I use the ZCA to end the game most frequently on my W11 laptop.
I will try to pay more attention going forward and report back if I see any particular pattern.
@Od_Avinu
Ok, thank you. There’s a lot of variables for this one. Please let us know if you can reproduce after narrowing down some of the variables so we can reproduce on this end.
Not going to happen. You can run Zwift on Linux using Wine though (haven’t used it myself in a year or two so no idea if it still works, and startup was somewhat awkward as far as I can remember):
(Or I guess you could run the Android app in an emulator as well?)
@ALEX_WEIRICH Thanks for the report - I shared your photo back to the team for investigation.
Hi @JD_Legis, could you please share some additional details about what you are observing? If you can take a photo or video of the pairing screen or other places where the issue manifests, that would be helpful for investigation.
In an upcoming game release, we’re adding a feature to let Zwifters customize the sensitivity of when the climb/gradient indicator appears, including turning it completely off.
Is this the screen you refer?
If so, the difference seems to be finishing the activity holding the stop button in Companion (won’t present the screen) versus using keyboard/mouse (will present the screen).
I mentioned the streak screen earlier because it’s the only one I’ve seen which has a time out.
Still seems broken for me on my ancient iPad swiped away can’t get rider list back
That’s a separate existing issue that hasn’t been addressed yet - the fix that was applied today corrected an issue where those components couldn’t be swiped away. Will follow up with the team on it.
@shooj Is there a setting that switches off the steering force field animation?
On my Apple TV with the play controllers through an iPad Pro that animation hasn’t worked for the last 2 updates
Tried it in free ride, group rides and workout modes, I can happily barge through other riders without seeing the red side barrier and still don’t see it if I keep the left or right steering button held.
There isn’t a setting but that animation does seem to have gone away on ATV. Good riddance, I say. However unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be a deliberate change because it’s still there on some other platforms.
Please also add an option for always on, though it really needs to be thinned vertically and have transparency added. Glad to hear it’s getting improvements either way.
It should all just go onto the map in the upper right hand corner. That map has allot of extra space, and even already has a hill profile at the bottom of it. Could just enlarge that with the gradient.
Thank you!
On my W11 machine, I can generate the ride report by ending using the mouse/ keyboard, and skip it completely using the stop button on ZCA.
That suggestion has been made (and ignored) many times. ZHQ ignoring the obvious best solution means we have to settle for trying to get improvents on what they decided to do.
I hope the sensitivity customization includes “full” (always visible) and “none” (never show it). No hope for having it moved to the map in the upper right corner since the space seems to be reserved for the full route profile and details, according to TSOZ Closer Look: Zwift’s Planned HUD Refresh | Zwift Insider
That’s not entirely true; the improvement to that map, including better profile, was supposed to come with the new HUD but it wasn’t ready in time. It is still coming and along with the option to amend the sensitivity of the central climb profile (or turn it off) this will be a great improvement IMO.
You’re assuming that’s still coming, but no comments that I’ve seen from ZHQ suggest that to be the case. More likely it was abandoned. Remember route-based workouts?
