Game Update v 1.121 [September 2026]

Since game version 1.110, there is only a WiFi icon for networked trainers, even when they are on Ethernet. My understanding is that Ethernet will always be preferred when both are available.

Route completion badges are now awarded after teleporting to a friend or RoboPacer and completing a full route lap from the official start of the route.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Route of week drops bonus

I would appreciate it if the run streak also showed the correct distance and elevation.
I’m sure calories are taken from the ride stats also.

Just cycled with robopacer. 58km in, I must have completed the factory tour as it gave me the socks. I went to go into the garage to swap them out and the game crashed. Apple TV 1.121.
Lost a couple of PR’s and the 58km from this weeks training now. Obviously the companion app keeps no record either!
Fuming!!!

Are you using the Apple TV HD model A1625? I’ve seen three reports of game crashes on that so far.

Ah OK, not the same wimpy hardware as the other guys. You should contact support. On Apple TV you have no access to game logs to see what might have happened so you need to talk to them to find out anything. They may also be able to credit you for lost progress.

The 58 k has popped up. No info though. I’ll go again for the socks:roll_eyes:.
First time I’ve had a crash like that. Could you imagine having 100+ km on the board.

It is normal for some portion of a ride to be recovered when you run the game again, though it’s often some minutes shy of the total. You should really talk to support about this in case there is a new bug they should be looking into. Otherwise you may experience it repeatedly before they even start looking at it.

The usual advice about instability on Apple TV is (1) always force-quit the app after each time you use it, (2) check for tvOS updates and apply any that are available, (3) if that doesn’t help, delete the game and re-install it, and (4) if that doesn’t help do a factory reset of the device. But all of that assumes that the game release is more or less OK.

The app auto updates. First ever crash on the app. Shame the companion app doesn’t put you back where you were.

Zwift on MacOS Apple Silicon, Companion App on Android. Can’t get it to connect in-game. Tried reinstalling and rebooting everything. Verified permissions. Everything seems right, worked fine before, not nothing.

Can you confirm that you are on launcher 1.1.18 and you allowed all of the permission prompts when installing? Do you see that Local Network permission is enabled for Zwift on the Mac?

This new way to pair everything sucks. The trainer wasn’t even recognized the first time I tried, closed the game, reopened, now the trainer is here but the power meter isn’t picking up. FFS.

Does your equipment support Bluetooth? If so I would yank the ANT+ dongle and test again. Not sure if you care about virtual shifting but that can’t work with the trainer paired via ANT+ as it is now.

Version 1.1.18 (164972)

So after trying to shut everything down and reinstall everything, it still didn’t work. So I tried changing network options. Nothing has changed on my end (and I use Zwift every day so it was fine just before the update), both the mac and the phone are both on the same wifi network. I tried using ethernet and changing from my home mesh to wifi to my fiber wifi (which no devices connect to normally).

I did get it working, but oddly, I needed to be on a DIFFERENT wifi network on my phone (my fiber wifi) than the mac. So two different wifi networks work (or even ethernet on my mac), but being on the same wifi network doesn’t work.

Not sure if the change is with the macOS Zwift update or the android Companion app update, but the need to be on two different wifi networks means something for sure changed with this update.

I just confirmed, I can be on ethernet or wifi on Zwift macOS, but on my phone I can’t be on the same wifi network, I need to be on a different wifi network (the fiber wifi which nothing connects to). My wife’s system is AppleTV and it’s still on 1.121 and she doesn’t have the problem (companion is latest 3.89). If the AppleTV update to 1.122 causes the same problem, that may give us some insight into what is causing the problem.

This means you need to investigate the network as well. First step would be to reboot all of the network gear.

The two devices must be in the same broadcast domain so they can find each other.

Something strange is going on here but it’s hard to say exactly what it is without a heap of details about the network.

Is the WiFi network on the fiber equipment on the same layer 2 network as your usual WiFi network? In other words, there is no routing or network address translation happening between the fiber device and the WiFi network you were using before?

That’s the strange part, if they’re both on the same wifi, they won’t communicate (for example, 192.168.0.24 and 192.168.0.200). I need to be on a different wifi for it work, which I would think wouldn’t work at all (the phone on a different wifi network, with an IP 192.168.1.3).

Something changed in either Zwift or the Companion App. It worked right before the update and now doesn’t work just after the update.
