This release freezes about 5 minutes into a ride on Win 10 - ran like a champ for 3+ years - anything in particular in this release that changed that I can look at?

You should try installing the video driver discussed in this topic:
You may need to get the zip file version of it if the executable version won’t install.
It the installer itself installs, but when running the driver installation, tells me its locked to the manufacturer specifications (which is in Intel lol)
Yeah you will need to use the zip file. There are some comments in that other thread from people who got it to install. Most people seem to be helped by that driver, though there have been a couple exceptions. As far as I know that driver is the only solution though Zwift is still looking into it.
