Thanks for this. Am I right that the desert flowers have been killed and instead we have more cracks in the road?
Also - the new bike. Pinarello. Arguably the most unwinning bike in the World Tour.
I’d love to see the Decathlon team bike for a start.
Also - please bring back Spin and Win That was fabulous and super motivating.
Thanks for reporting @Od_Avinu! I’ve updated our developer ticket tracking this issue. This has been around for a little while, but can currently only be experienced if you first take the steps to open a route side sheet, then back out of that route and select a workout, and then select a different route (in a different world) for your workout.
I had the steering force field on the alpe today. Other steering issues though, there were a few instances of aggressive right/left back and forth. And then once you steer into a “lane” you stay there literally forever and behavior never gets back to normal auto-steer activity. 10 seconds was too fast to return to center but literally-never is too long.
My steering device auto-connected today for some reason, I’ve been leaving it not-connected because it always seems to have some random bugs popping up even if I don’t touch the buttons.
Not me. I (and I think most) want normal behavior that functions the same as non-steerers as long as you’ve provided no input, and to return to that same behavior after some duration of no input. We know that 10 seconds is too short. I’ll go out on a limb and state that an hour+ is obviously too long. 2 minutes seems like it would be in the ballpark. But don’t bet on this ever being a user-configurable option given this game’s history.
There’s a variable received from server called maxSecondsSinceLastInputForAutoPilot which appears to be what you are talking about (I don’t have a steering device to confirm), currently its value is 99999.
Well I did a workout which continued as a free ride for the rest of the libby hill party route (badge hunting) and neither during the workout or free ride sections did it show the force field to the left or right while keeping a finger on the steering button.
I was even able to ride on top of other riders, which I didn’t think I could do prior to this update.
I’m using Apple TV btw with the play controls paired through the companion
Steering with play controllers is malfunctioning for me this morning. Forces me to far right with “force field” showing and out of draft. Trying to correct path doesn’t work as soon as I take my hand in left paddle I got straight back to far right. Had to turn them off. After that my avatar behaved more normally but never really seemed able to sit in the draft as I normally would. Oddly, I had steering on yesterday and did not have this problem.
