Hi @Philip_Trigg_GoodGym
We looked at your server logs and nocied you were in a workout inside of a Meetup, is that correct? ERG mode was enabled during the workout, and the in-game action bar (across the bottom of the screen) should have had the toggle to switch ERG mode on/off.
If this issue happens again, please take a screenshot of the game app using the camera icon in the action bar and drop it here if you would?
Still seeing flashing red squares and every time there is an update, I have to edit one of the rides I lead to have race results. Never had the issue with previous updates. So, last two weeks, the ride has no race results posted because the updates happen close to the ride time. I can’t edit an hour before ride time. Just reporting continued problems.
It may very well be that I had minor disconnects before, but they were on a way smaller scale than what I experienced yesterday and didn’t impact the ride experience very much. I can not remember any ride before, where was I in the situation that my avatar would just stand by the side of the road for minutes, because zwift wouldn’t be able to reconnect the signal - much less not find the devices anymore when searching manually.
I’ll give this a try later today without the secondary connection to the other app to see if that does change the behavior.
Update: after doing a zwift-only workout just now, the issue seems to more of a PEBCAK thing after all. I’m still curious on the timing with the new release, but will now go about finding a work-around for my setup instead.
Thanks for the encouragement for local debugging, @shooj
I’m not able to pair my Garmin Forerunner 245 music with zwift for cadence and HR on Run mode since this last update.
Doesn’t show up on the pair screen.
That seems like expected behaviour now that the size of the pacer Drops zone has been increased, since the distance to that zone (near the top) will be a lot shorter than the distance to the pacer in the middle of that zone (at the bottom).
I just finished a workout. I’ve never had issues with cadence dropping from 120rpms to 24 rpms for a few seconds and then returning to 120 again. Hopefully this will be sorted. Connecting through my phone.
Maybe? However, the catch-up message disappears when I am still more than 25 metres away. To be clear, 25 metres is just an example, It could be any distance (within reason), but seems to be approximately half the distance to the robo-pacer as reported marker at the bottom of the screen.
The problem is that the Companion app now requires watchOS 10 but you need iOS 17 on your Apple phone for that. Older IPhones does not support iOS 17 only from iPhone 9 upward.
Good to know! Wondering why race result settings are being affected by these updates. I lead a Giant ride every Wednesday and the last two weeks, race results were not present after the update.
Bluetooth connectivity is as bad as it always been, esp with Apple Watch. Updated to 1.59 and no avatar highlighting as well. MyWoosh is looking better and better!
@Whitney_Whip_Stidham Thank you for reporting this - can you please give me some more details about the issue you observed? I’ll get this back to our teams to look into.
During the last two updates, I’ve edited the ride settings to include race results. Each time there is an update, the race result settings are defaulted back. I can’t edit an hour before the ride, so during the last two updates, which have occurred on Wednesday before my lead, the rides don’t have race results enabled after the update. I’m having to go back in each week and edit the settings because the update is defaulting the ride back to a no result ride. It’s never happened with any past updates; the the last two.
My Apple TV forced the new update and now the zwift companion app will not connect no matter what I try. Tried everything from airplane mode to resetting wifi and tv. Hopefully this get resolved soon.
A rollback would be most welcome. The huge outlined magazine cutout of an avatar borders on the intolerable. They need to give us a way to shut that nonsense down.
Another frustrated user here, it’s absurd how little priority Zwift gives to Apple Watch, so many of us access its product via OS devices. Can we at least have some transparency and real estimated date for a fix? I hope it will be soon, but with so many years of unsupported and not prioritised issue, I fear my subscription this month will be lost, waiting in vain…
