@Neil_Partridge your like 2 weeks late Racing Score updates [July 8 2024] - #300 by Tom_Shelton

So I did a race today… Still in cat B, still dropped out the back. How do I find races that are applicable to/based on my race score?

best way is to join zwift Lab Club. there all listed there.

Search events on Companion app with pens A-E unchecked, but flag icon checked.

Fix the broken link:

I know you will get a lot of comments but if you are truly very new to Zwift racing, perhaps your race craft is a greater hindrance than your power?
You may do better by learning to apply the power you have.
Unless you race cyclocross or hilly crits, there’s not a lot of experiences like Zwift racing.

Entirely possible… Although just staying with the bunch was tough enough, I never tried to break away. I will certainly research though. Thanks.

I’m also thinking… My low total power but relatively high watts per kg means I’m best off with hilly races?

Your Racing Score is 371. If you find races using racing score and High and Low you will find you are top of the third pen in Low races. (300-375)

I like to use the ZwiftPower search facility when looking for races. Try searching for using and low and you will get 4 early evening races over next three nights.

These will be using racing score races.

If times are not suitable try just searching for low and these may bring up some different CE races where you will be racing with low end cat B racers.

For sure especially in the test races that use racing score if your sprint isn’t that good. But my #1 recommendation is to join a racing club with a bunch of experienced Zwift racers who can help you understand how to succeed. Personally having done a lot of endurance training before starting Zwift racing I found I needed to develop the ability to respond to the surges, except in long events that are not common on Zwift. My sprint is still poor but doing 5v5 club ladder events I can still have a major impact on the team result by shutting down breaks or establishing gaps when we drop someone on the enemy team, and sometimes I get up the road with one of them and we just ride it to the line so I get no worse than 2nd instead of being blown out in the sprint. There are a lot of different types of events available and maybe one of them suits you. If you can race UK weekdeay evenings I recommend the Rhino Racing team - you could join me there and get a lot of advice on racecraft and other topics.

Hello, Paul! Thanks for the advice. It really worked. I updated my absolute power for 10 and 12 minute yesterday in the race. Racing has regained its interest and meaning for me. Ride on!
