I have a question why doesn’t the resistance on my trainer change when I hit different elevations when training? When I race the resistance changes but not while doing a training workout. Am I missing something?

I don’t understand the question.

But in workout mode the trainer will follow the workout power requirements if you are in ERG otherwise you have to adjust the incline using the companion app.

If you are doing a workout in ERG mode, the trainer will set your power , the only effect of hills will be your bike travels faster or slower, you wont feel it. If you turn ERG off or don’t select a plan, you have to select you gears as in real life.
