Maybe a stupid question but do you have to unsubscribe before a race if you can’t make it to participate? Does a ‘no show’ affect your racing score or something else?
It doesn’t matter. Even DNF won’t affect your score.

No show affects others who take part and finish… Their Racing Scores will change less.

but that is on Zwift, not on the rider. @Steve_Cl
