The last few days I’ve been watching a few older videos of people everesting on AdZ. Is it just me or did the road surface change from old degraded asfalt to an American style road with yellow lines? Imho the old degraded asfalt looked much more atmospheric
Looking back at a couple of YouTube videos, it does seem that the pavement look has been changed.
I prefer the older asphalt look as well.
December 22, 2025 roads had white lines on most parts of it, the loop at the top had yellow lines in places.
December 20, looking at sector 9, sector 3 and others, white lines.
December 18 the section at the top has partially yellow lines, then they change to white. Other sectors show white lines.
December 17, white lines in sector 1 screenshot, looking same as always.
Just did 310th ADZ today and no. 309 yesterday. All looks normal and looks far better than the old style which just looked very old.
Remember that ADZ got a graphical refresh quite a long time ago. Apart from some Christmas looking lights on some of the trees at the start of the Road to Sky route, didn’t notice any other changes recently.
To each their own, irl the new road surface on AdZ would be much nicer to drive on but the old degraded road just looked much more atmospheric, like a quiet off the beaten track climb
