Anyone successfully use a Concept 2 / PM5 rower with Zwift? I did a couple years ago, driving a Zwift Runner. But tried it again. No joy.
• Android: PainSled is no longer available for Android, and RowedBiker doesn’t work on the latest version of Android.
• iOS: I can run PainSled, and I can see that in my Zwift connections view. But I either get 0mph that doesn’t change even when I’m rowing, or the 0mph disappears meaning the connection was sort of lost.
Anyway - if you are able to make a Zwift Runner move by rowing, let me know how. Thanks!
@Kerstin_K_C2rower do you know about this?
The iOS Version never worked for running. I tried it a few years ago and the avatar didn’t move. Asked the app developer James Terrell about it and he confirmed that Zwift Running only works with the Android version of RowedBiker (not PainSled!), and that he had no plans of implementing it into the iOS version. So I bought a cheap second-hand Galaxy Tab A6 and it still works fine. You might want to contact @J_Terrell about this, maybe he can provide an update.
I’m afraid rowing on Zwift is a dead horse. A few weeks ago I had a chat with Concept2 representatives including Mr Dreissigacker and told them about the tons of fun I’m having with rowing on Zwift, but they were not at all interested. Their point of view was absolutely clear: If you want to use Zwift buy a BikeErg. If you want to use the RowErg use one of the rowing apps out there. Unfortunately all those rowing apps don’t even come close to the fun that Zwift offers. And Zwift isn’t interested in implementing rowing as well. Sigh.

I have one of these works like a charm. NPE CABLE There are a bunch of videos on how to set it up etc. looks like NPE (North Pole engineering) has a new model that’s out of stock . Good luck .
I just received the NPE CORD. I had to order it from a supplier in New Zealand. I haven’t used it yet. And now I found that the iOS/Android app called QZ Fitness made it work like a charm. Directly connects to my PM5 wirelessly and sends data to my Windows computer running Zwift and my Virtual Zwift running runs as I row!! But I really needed the NPE CORD for another reason. My Zwift Hub One’s ANT+ signal sucks. It can’t even reach my Garmin EDGE on my handlebar. Bluetooth is fine, but I’m using that to power my cycling workouts using XERT. So I want ANT+ to reach my EDGE for some advanced data fields I watch. NPE CORD will do that.
