Companion issue with power in workout mode

Same here. Just following in case a solution arises. Using gen 6 iPad to for main screen and iPhone 5 for companion. Thanks for posting

Thank you for letting us know about this, but to further investigate the problem, we’d like to ask everyone to submit new support tickets and send in log files as your main device records the events from Companion too. As far as we know, there isn’t any incompatibility concerns with early model iOS devices, but if that’s the case, we’ll need to update Apple as their App Store controls device compatibility.

David, thanks for your reply. But… I had a ticket running on this issue. Complete with screenshots and explanation. Why can’t I find/open this ticket anymore?

This I received this morning from Zwift support, patience will be rewarded… :slight_smile:

Thanks for contacting Zwift!
I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with the companion app.
I actually just got word that we’ve got a fix for this bug coming out in the next update. I would just keep an eye out for when that comes out. I wish I could give you an exact date, but as of right now there is no ETA.”

I fixed my issue. Support asked if my FTP was set to 0. I checked my profile and my FTP was set. I did noticed my weight was off in my profile , so I updated it and saved my profile. When I did this my companion started to work. Looks like there must have been a corrupted profile on my companion and when I resaved my profile in zwift it corrected it.

Steps I took:

  1. opened Zwift on my PC
  2. launched companion app on bike.
  3. Chose workout.
  4. Chose Ride.
  5. Noticed watts were 0 for … on companion app
  6. Went to menu.
  7. Opened my profile on Zwift. Click box with pencil inside of it at upper left corner next to my name.
  8. Updated my weight. Probably can update anything here, but I chose weight.
  9. Clicked Save.

I hope this helps.

It started working for me today. I didn’t change a thing. Maybe there was an update that was downloaded. Thanks for fixing this!
