So now MacOS27 and iOS 27 are in beta I did upgrade my macbook and iPhone to these purely for the improved battery life on the iPhone (which is def a welcome improvement). I have not had a single issue with either update APART from Zwift companion app refusing to connect to Zwift running on my Macbook Pro (m4 Pro).
In the past this has often happened when you get a big update on either MacOS or the iPhone and this has always just been fixed with either a clean install of zwift or updating network permissions, but in this instant I have tried everything over the last couple of weeks and no matter what I try the Companion app will not find zwift running on the network. So something in either the new MacOS 27 or iOS 27 updates seems to have broken this permanently.
If anyone has found a temporary workaround please let me know.
I have tried multiple fresh installs on the macbook of zwift and the companion app on iPhone and a new dedicated wifi network just for the two devices but it never links up.
I appreciate these operating systems are only in Beta so things like this are likely, but at some point a fix will be needed before full release in a couple of months.
Yes, there is no workaround for now. The problem doesn’t seem to be iOS 27 developer beta, but MacOS 27 developer beta. New installs do not make any difference.
I have tested iOS 27 with Zwift on MacOS Tahoe, that works.
Something else I have noticed is just on start up of the computer (M4 Pro Mac Mini) is that it is very slow for my bluetooth mouse and the Apple wireless keyboard to pair up with the computer (at the login screen) compared to before. That’s another annoyance.
oh nice, thank you! I didnt have any permission popups but for sure it connected straight away using ZwiftAppSilicon instead of the launcher.
