Community Welfare and Anti-Harassment Update [April 2021]

Has it? I can still see weights and heights.

I was playing about with the column options & if you hit reset, it removes weight & height and you cant add them back in…

Maybe you are not a valued customer … like what we are

I certainly get the impression some are more valued than others…

This change,
Club access,
Event set up
Etc

If only the option was a RED tick box … it would have taken quite a long time to roll it out.

Has anyone informed the international federations of boxing, weightlifting, judo, wrestling and so on of this issue?

A more fair comparison … (now that zwift have firmly re-positioned their product) .

I have checked Street Fighter V: Champion Edition and it doesn’t display you weight.

That is not gonna work. Because people with eating disorders will check those columns back and will starve themselves to death.

Next up is a ban on tight closing in real-life cycling. Looking good in your lycra? No more of this senseless behavior, that triggers eating disorders in 0.0000001% of the population. From now on you can only cycle in a baggy snowboarding outfit!

So basically what RGT are doing then…

Hmmm… it’s past noon in California right now. 417 comments on this thread and no real response from Zwift to try and stop/contain the dumpster fire they created.

@shooj @Eric figured you all as a company would have learned from past “missteps” (putting it nicely) of communications but apparently not.

418 comments actually…damn it!!!

And only 1 comment from the person that counts

So over 180 different people commenting on the thread then.

Still very much a minority of users considering there are easily hundreds of thousands of active accounts using the platform each day and over 3 million accounts have been created. I’m not defending their lack of engagement, just putting it in context. We already know Zwift thinks of racing as a minority of users. 75% of users are utilizing it for training/workouts, 25% are using it for events/races IIRC. Over 5,200 views though!

They never provided the data behind that 75%… it could be people doing 1 workout such as ramp or FTP test and then never doing another one.

Without context, stats mean very little.

Maybe racers are a minority of the total Zwifters using the platform but ZwiftPower itself has stats on how many people have ‘opted in’. And that’s not an insignificant number. If I understand the stats box correctly over 300,000 people have taken the trouble to exit the Zwift ecosystem and set up a profile on what functionally appears as a 3rd party site. How many of that 300,000 are Zwift willing to lose at $14.99 revenue a month?

Kat (Part of the (mostly) silent majority who is watching this thread in the hope that Zwift will eventually post something else to explain themselves…)

Hi.
I’ve only been using zwift for a few months and have never come across harassment or bad language. I’ve found everyone to be friendly and very helpful.
Can’t believe this goes on. I’m saddened by this. Al

Just think how many other problems have been resolved, indefinitely deferred or hidden by this move.

From Zwift’s perspective there must have been high fives & “f’n nailed it” all day.

IMO racers are responsible for this, vote with your feet people and leave the platform.

Zwift is mocking you and community racing, but they WILL NOT change.

If their decisions don’t improve your experience, leave Zwift and stop paying/rewarding them.

Do not stay and complain, they will not change, they are pathologically incapable of it from an investor perspective. They are absolutely happy for you to stay and complain until you die of old age.
