Are there any clubs that host private club only races? If so, could you recommend some clubs that are good to join. I have moved to zwift from RGT where I was used to small fields (say 20) of regular riders. You’d know everyone in the race. I really enjoyed that.

Some of the public group rides are spicy and will have regulars, so those might be fun for you. Escape Collective Tuesday Escapade comes to mind, but there are others. Many of those rides are steady paced for the better part of an hour and then race the finish.
I’ve also done private club races with the Target 2.5 club, which I haven’t done in a while but they had informal chase races on Thursdays with mostly B/C/D category riders. Those often had a few dozen starters and many people in them who rarely do public races.
Also you might consider the 5v5 club ladder. You would be on a squad of up to 15 riders, with 5 entered in an event, and either challenging or being challenged by another team of 5. Our team often races the same opponents multiple times. They are quite fun and tactical. Good teams will be using some kind of voice chat throughout the race to coordinate movements. I do that with the Rhino Racing club which mostly races UK weekday evenings.
