edit: the zp search feature is broken - misunderstanding
Heās on there, slipped a bit down the list as others have got in front. Not the first time that they zwiftpower search function hasnāt worked.
fair enough, thanks for the correction. i still find people who arenāt even using zwift anymore coming here to talk crap about it strange as hell though.
Iām here because I was having fun racing and Iām displeased with the price hike, thatās not strange. This is literally the forum discussing that very thing. If there were 1200 comments praising the hike I would call it strange.
well, then⦠to answer this question
you slipped down to about 400th and still have the same score, so you tell me. nobody likes paying more money than they used to for something and iām no different, but you arenāt obligated to pay zwift anything
Iām sorry I was mistaken earlier. Iām not 27 in my group I am 26. Your argument is no one is forcing me to use zwift so why register an opinion on the fee? Because I can. Because they set up a forum for people to do exactly that. There are plenty of comments that state I will/have cancelled due to the hike, I donāt know how this is a surprise.
well one thingās for sure, zhq arenāt spending any of that extra money on fixing the zwiftpower search feature. sorry to break it to you though, youāre 395th now. well 931st, across all categories. at least you have something to aim for i guess
i apologise on behalf of the zwiftpower search feature
26. Check the pic. Male, age is 43, weight 180kg, cat A, all countries. What does yours say when you search for yourself
er, itās funnier if i donāt answer i guess. i think if you wanted to use zwift then weād probably have a good race, but since you donāt, it doesnāt matter
You should know better. You donāt have to pay to have a Zwift account or appear on ZwiftPower.
Having tough competition is what made this fun, and helped me get the cardio up. I keep an eye open for races under the free limit per month, win or lose Iād love to race anyone willing. Leave your screen name and Iāll work on it.
Are you comparing to pre hike or this time last year?
Itās summer right now numbers are always down. next month or two will be more telling.
ps if you want to find some A riders iām sure our race tonight will be busy.
Yep. Come back in November and have a discussion on numbers of Zwifters. We should have a better picture then.
ZwiftPower does not reflect the number of zwifters, only the number of racers. Members who quit will still be on zp anyways.
I would guess about 20% left with price hike.
Mywhoosh had a huge increase in the few weeks following that hike.
probably⦠i donāt think the racing has changed, but most people donāt race
zwiftpower is not the best place to look. Racers are more likely to have stayed on zwift as not many like racing v bots on MW.
I doubt itās as high as 20% and some of those left and came back. weāll all just have to wait and see but i guess itās each users perspective of where they get value.
Thank you for the info, Iāll check in!
I cancel Zwift at $14.99 per month in April. I want to start riding again and it is $19.99 per month. Why the increase? It is too expensive now.
They put the prices up. First time in something like 7 years.
There are cheaper or free alternatives but personally i donāt find any are as good as zwift.
It depends how you look at it and what youāre comparing it with.
I was paying over £600 a year to go climbing. I climbed about 3x a week. That was the cost effective way to climb regularly. You basically paid the same to climb as often as you liked as you would if you paid on the door to climb once a week.
So by comparison zwift for a year looks cheap. I can pay for zwift and still go climbing once a month and pay less than I was paying just to climb.
But I guess compared with running or cycling outside, which is mostly free, it might look expensive. Or even compared with just watching youtube or netflix.
No one but you can decide what youāre comparing it with.
Iād suggest we can decide as a group whether zwift are value for money in terms of the software they release.
