Can't pair power meter

Hey all, i have a issue in some races, when i wanne start a race it said pair power meter, so i have me smart bike en hart meter connect…but when i wanne join the race it says again to pair power meter, what im i doing wrong ?
Thx

Probably the bike does not qualify as a power meter. Which bike is it: who made it and what is the model?

Hi @nick_maes, welcome to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.

There is a wide variety of indoor bikes available. Although many of these bikes do not come with built-in sensors or transmit power data, you can still use them on Zwift by adding a power meter. The following manufacturers make indoor bikes that are compatible with Zwift, “FYI”:

  • Body Bike
  • Concept 2
  • Horizon
  • Keiser
  • Life Fitness
  • Matrix
  • MYOLYN
  • RealRyder
  • Saris
  • Schwinn
  • Stages
  • STAR TRAC
  • Tacx
  • Wahoo
  • Wattbike
  • ZYCLE

Hey hey i have a hammer speed race s
They said is was good with zwift

Thxx for your reaction i have a hammer speed race s

Some races are particular about the power source, and I would say that yours is not on the list. Be very careful of Marketing speak.

Most likely the bike does not have a real power meter and the power numbers it reports can’t be trusted. That is the problem with nearly all spin bikes. They can work with Zwift but are not suitable for racing or knowing your power with any degree of accuracy.

Oke thank you, en can i see this befor i wanne join a race ?

Oke thank you, some races i can join can. With the power symbol. Can i see what race i can join en what race i can’t ?

I am not a frequent racer, but I seem to recall requirements are in the race description. If they say something similar to “Accepted power meter required”, I presume they would not take a spin bike power source. For that bike you will need power pedals (garmin, wahoo, assioma) or some other power source.

I wouldn’t join any races with a “bike” that has an unknown accuracy for the power source, you can really ruin the experience of others with accurate power meters/trainers if yours is wildly out of range and essentially giving you extra watts that you don’t deserve.
