Calibration issue with my Kickr Core

Hi everyone,

I bought the Zwift ride with the Kickr Core, and I’m extremely satisfied with it. However, I did a ramp test to calculate my FTP, and I find it abnormally high. It’s given to me as 306, and while I do bike daily to get to work, I’ve never done it as a sport.

I think the problem might come from the calibration of the home trainer, but I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find how to calibrate it (even from the Wahoo app).

If you know how to do this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

There are instructions on Wahoo page.

Did you update the trainers firmware from the Wahoo app?

If 306W is unreasonable really depends on your height and weight. If you are like 195cm 95kg than 306 W isn’t too unreasonable

Yes i did !

Im 181cm and 83kg so…

Ok so i guess the test was correct. That is very strange

Ramp tests can really overestimate FTP in anaerobically gifted people. There’s a workout called 2x20 FTP intervals. That should be quite difficult, like 8-9/10 RPE but doable

Ok, thank you so much!
I’ll try it early next week, after getting some rest. Because wow, Zwift is really incredible, it’s super addictive, and it’s hard to stop .
But it’s only been a week, and I can already feel the fatigue building up, so I’ll do lighter sessions for the next 2-3 days and then try this FTP test.

Thanks again for the information
