Bug regarding summer time clock changes

Hi all a bug on Zwift regarding clock changes.

in the UK our clocks all went forward today but Zwift presumed that I had moved country therefore moved the 8:45 start time of the gran Fondo, which I signed up for in January and was looking forward to, to 07:45.

Surely if it starts at 8:45, it starts at 8:45 when our clocks go forward.

It only affected rides that were booked before the clocks changed.

I set my alarm for 07:45 so that I could get up and have breakfast only to find it had already started. There was no late join so I lost the chance to ride PRL half!

Anyone else affected?

Events are scheduled according to UTC so unless an event organizer changes the start time to track some specific local timezone, the ride time remains constant (in UTC) while various local times change according to their schedule.

Presumably it would be possible to predict the upcoming change and display it for you appropriately before the time changes, but that’s not implemented.

From an SZR ride management point of view, this year was soooooo much easier than previous years :partying_face::partying_face:

Hi Paul.

As a club owner I’m intrigued by your comment. What’s different?

I’ve had to go into each event and adjust the clock by 1hr.
