Hi, would be super cool to see bioluminescent plankton in some of the beach routes at night (as glowing waves) ![]()
Basically you only get a level of graphics to match what is delivering them to your screen.
Some time ago I suggested that Zwift have steam where the lava hit the ocean or when rain hit the lava flow. You donât get that in 1080p resolution but you suddenly get that sort of detail in 4K-2160p.
You simply will not get a whole bunch of things without 4K and a decent GPU, There are a whole load of things Zwift doesnât put on the screen because your GPU simply couldnât cope and the frames per second would drop and you device or PC will crash.
Zwift doesnât have real night time visuals. It goes slightly darker in places but itâs not like going outside at midnight.
Without really dark proper night time visuals a lot of things are a bit lost, such as the aurora, etc.
People donât want night time visuals, they donât want rain, they donât want more detailed graphics, but just donât take away their detailed realistic bike shadows or the world will end!
Well Chris, I thought the shadows of the bikes on the ground was the limit of what Zwift was capable of !!! Its was not until I went 4K did I find out what I had been missing for over 3 years in terms of shadows.
Night time is pretty good if you go OLED, infinite contrast.
Share the pics at 1080p and 4K so we can compare
+1 to that.
Zwift doesnât have real night time. Just a dull version of day time. It doesnât even go as dark as dusk in Flight Simulator.
Yes, I know youâll say âwe donât want night time, I like the vintage graphicsâ.
