I’m really frustrated that the app keeps crashing half way through a workout. Everything just freezes. I can’t even launch task manager and am forced to do a hard shutdown. And none of my ride is saved at all. Plus I don’t get in a proper session because there’s no way to relaunch and pick up where you were booted out.
How do I get help with this problem? All of my hardware and software are up to date and there’s nothing wrong with my wifi. I’m also not running a tonne of programs in the background or anything.
Thanks for reaching out! This is Monica from Zwift.
Crashes and freezes often stem from outdated graphics drivers. Please confirm that your device has the latest Operating System and Graphics Drivers. You can find helpful info in this article.
I also noticed that the member you’re playing with has an outdated launcher version. Please check this article to reinstall Zwift and the launcher.
Additionally, consider reaching out to your computer or GPU manufacturer for further assistance.
Thanks for your help! We look forward to hearing from you at support@zwift.com.
Can you say more about your PC? I’m guessing you have a device with an AMD Ryzen CPU and Radeon integrated graphics, because there’s a known problem with game stability on that hardware. There is no fix for it yet, unless the latest Radeon driver downloaded from AMD helps you, which it may or may not. If that’s what you have, reinstalling is a waste of time.
If you have some other kind of PC, please post the specs for more advice.
