Is it the same with the Play controllers in that one controller only shifts up, and the other can only shift down?
@Jason_J_SPM
Not at all. The new Clicks share the same functionality as the Play controllers (minus a braking button) in a smaller size that mounts on multiple handlebar types. If the Playâs been working well for you - theyâll continue to work well, and we will support with firmware updates should new features or bug fixes be required.
You raise valid points, but for the time being - the Click and Cog will be sold as a bundled set.
For now - the new Click and Cog will be sold as an upgrade kit in the US / UK / EU Zwift Shops. We are in discussions with Wahoo and Wahooâs distributors outside those regions to sell the upgrade kit.
At this time there are no plans to customize the controller buttons with shortcuts. You can rotate the controllers on your bars / lever / stem if you like and adjust the orientation in game settings, but thatâs it for customization.
Yes. As with the Play controllers, you can pair up to two devices that control steering.
Yes. If you have a trainer that supports virtual shifting, thereâs a minus button on the left controller an a plus button on the right controller that changes resistance
Ok thanks. So the only shifting is the consecutive 24 gear option â not emulation like with the Ride for a 2x Chainring? That would have been nice, and maybe possible with 2 separate controllers?
The Click v2, Click v1 and Play controllers all have one physical shift button per side (i.e. increase or decrease in resistance), much like SRAM levers. They can be configured for sequential or SRAM style shifts.
The Ride controllers are the only one with two shift paddlers per side, similar to Shimano levers. So they can be set up for Shimano, SRAM, or sequential style shifts. Does that make sense?
Your description makes sense. The choice not to support Shimano style shifting with the new controllers, less so.
Thanks, I didnât realize that a Click itself could ever do a âchainringâ shift â though reading the guide, I donât see how it would be at all natural to hit both the + and - button simultaneously with one finger. Should be easier with these separated now to 2 Clicks (1 for each hand).
I ordered the new Zwift Click and Cog v2 on Tuesday, and it arrived today (Friday) after just three days.
Before setting everything up, I updated my Elite Direto XR to the latest firmware using Eliteâs Upgrado app. The update worked perfectly. Since the Direto XR connects via Bluetooth, pairing was straightforward, and everything functioned right away â steering and virtual shifting both worked without issues.
I kept my existing cassette in place. For the Clicks, I mounted them on the inside of my handlebar ends, positioned so I can shift with my thumbs without taking my hands off the bars.
At âŹ49, I think the price is fair for the added functionality.
Does anyone know how long the free Zwift membership is for new subscribers with the bundle?
Edit, I should have elaborated a little more,.. the promo that is included with the KICKr Core V2 and Click bundle. I misread the title of the topic
@shooj do you know how long the free membership is good for?
Just a quick note: Elite currently offers a discount code on their website that provides an additional âŹ20 off. (and free shipment âŹ7,50 off)
The code is easy to find on the Elite homepage under the Zwift Ready products and works without issues.
With the discount applied, you can get it for âŹ29,99.
Elite code works with GBP as well. Got ÂŁ20 off my order this morning.
Not working for US site. @shooj?
Youâre referring to the link(s) provided here, about halfway down the page?
I ordered the new Zwift Click v2 and Cog at 7:30AM CDT on Tuesday, 9 September.
It shipped from northern Kentucky, going to southeast Alabama.
It wonât be delivered until Monday, 15 September.
$7.50 shipping for a week delivery time.
Thatâs ridiculous.
Have you tried recently to ship a 2 lb box or so interstate and paid less than $7.50?
Ridiculously good!
As a matter of fact, yes, many times.
2-3 day delivery for less than $7.50.
Hi,
The new Click & Cog â Elite-compatible version has been sold out on the EU shop for a few days.
â Any ETA for restocking or usual lead time? Could this be linked to the current promo code rush?
Also, does the listed trainer compatibility refer only to the Cog? If I only need the Click, can I safely order the Wahoo version (still in stock) without any firmware/software mismatch?
Thanks a lot for any info!
Yes if you order the Wahoo kit you can use the Click and not the Cog if you want. The Cog is not required for virtual shifting. The Elite version will come with a larger 18t Cog and an Elite freehub body. The Wahoo version will come with a multi-trainer freehub body (does not fit Elite) and a 14t Cog. The larger Elite Cog accounts for the greater resistance from Elite trainers at low power, but you could always use a cassette instead of the Cog if you want.
I have the Elite version of the Click & Cog, but Iâm not using the cog. Works fine for me on my cassette. I think Zwift calibrates virtual shifting from your first few pedal strokes, so you can use any gear ratio. So yes, I believe any non-Elite version should work for you if you donât plan on using the cog.
Hi @Francois_Carvallo welcome to Zwift forums
