When you get on bike, you can’t always know what you’re going to do, or what you’re able to do today… On real road training I often decide it after warm-up, and vary intervals length and power as I go.
On zwift you choose workout and have to follow it, or skip steps.
I find it more flexible just to have a Lap button (as on Garmin) with possibility to see avg values for the interval - power and heart rate.
There’s plenty of space on the screen, and it should be simple to program it.
