11-28 cassette on bike. 11-26 on kickr. What do I do?

Hi,

A beginner here having trouble with smooth gearing. It is smooth on the bike when outside, but on the kickr it has problems going in the easiest gear, and on a couple in the middle. I found out that this probably has to do with my bike having a 11-28 cassette, and kickr having a 11-26 casette. How do I adjust it correctly when shifting it from one to the other?

2 teeth won’t really impact you.

 

Now is your bike 10 or 11 speed?  You have to match cassettes in terms of 10 speed on the bike, and 10 speed on the kickr.

 

After you mount your bike the trainer with a matched cassette, all that you will have to do is adjust the barrel adjuster a bit.
