Zwift Ride improvement feedback

First, love the ride. Have had it for a month and it is great. I want to make it greater:

  1. one of the first things I noticed was the noise, or, more specifically, how much quieter it is than my traditional smart trainer set up. But there is still noise due to the metal on metal drivetrain. Can Zwift look into a belt drive? That would eliminate the noise substantially. Also, there is a vibration in the pedals as the chain goes over the main chainring. This would remove that vibration for ultimately smooth pedaling.

  2. incorporate the wahoo climb into the front fork by removing the black peg and selling a fork option. I enjoyed that feature on my bike frame trainer.

  3. include a sweat guard that attaches to the down post to cover the the chain from the chain ring all the way back. I’m thinking about having someone 3D print me one to keep my chain from rusting as I poor buckets of sweat on it. Also going to have someone print a towel hook that will fit on the front stem.

Otherwise, I absolutely love it. Just did a 90 min ride today on it.

Hi Kevin, welcome to the forums. Your points 1 and 2 have been discussed and we were told that Zwift didnt use a belt drive or integrate the climb to keep costs down.

@Mike_Rowe1
What does the “black peg” look like (is the “fork” removable)?
I wonder if a road fork could be attached somehow to the Zwift Ride to enable use of the Climb.

IMHO, a bad decision by Zwift.
Those decisions to “keep costs down” will also keep sales down.
With the ability to use my Climb, I’d be all over the Zwifr Ride.
Add in a quiet belt drive and I’d order one yesterday,
Maybe V2 will have those options.

I don’t have a Zwift Ride so can’t tell you.

I posted a link to DCR’s article which shows pics of it in this thread - DCR on Zwift Cog 2.0 and Ride frame
