Zwift Group Rides in Fitness Center / Cycling Shops?

Is there such a thing as a facility that runs regular Zwift rides IRL in their store or fitness center? I’m imagining a spin-class like environment but with a trainer+BYOB or I guess now, Zwift Rides. If this exists, is there a list or map?

I travel a lot for work and don’t relish the thought of resorting to hotel fitness center bikes.

Unfortunately, I don’t think this concept really exists broadly. This question has been asked on the forum before without much positive response.

Via Google, I found one place in Milwaukee that has indoor cycling studio featuring real bikes, trainers and Zwift, but unless all of your work travel takes you to Milwaukee that might not do you much good.

As for alternatives, I think it largely depends on your geographic location. I believe that if you’re in the UK there used to be some gyms that had Watt bikes and you could bring your tablet and try to Zwift using them. I don’t know which gym chains carry Watt bikes unfortunately, and there didn’t seem to be an easy answer via Google. There is a page on Watt’s website that mentions a link to a map, but that link no longer works.

Some folks have also mentioned finding Stages bikes at high end gyms that are Swift compatible.

Other folks hoping to keep up their training while traveling have resorted to hotel bikes (which I know you are not a fan of) but they have brought their own power meter pedals and swap them out on the sly.

Good luck with your search and here is the Milwaukee option just in case: Indoor Training Studio

There are definitely gyms with wattbikes.

Typically these are going to be atom x, which comes with a little display included, but I assume they will connect to your own device and (via that) to zwift.

Wattbike do have a search for wattbike spin classes on a page called ‘How To Find Your Nearest Wattbike Class’ in the news section of their website, but the ‘find a wattbike’ link didn’t seem to work.

My guess here is though that if you search for gyms around the places you’re visiting they’ll will advertise if they have wattbikes. e.g puregym have them in the UK.
