Zwift crashing - 4/3

Hasn’t happened in a while but during the BMTR short ride this morning. The game just vanished. I oopsed at hit the annoying rear view button on the click controller when trying to steer left and it just disappeared. Hopefully not a new bug. Twice now. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

A one time crash is not necessarily a bug.
If you could repeat it crashing, that would be a bug.
That said, there isn’t a lot of information in your post to try and determine what happened.
What platform do you run Zwift on? Windows? Mac? AppleTV?
What are the other specs of your Zwift computer?
Can you upload the logs to TrainerDX and see if that gives any clues to what may have happened?

Please remind me of the details of your Zwift setup.

You also have the option to ask support to look at the logs and explain why it happened.

I assume a quick explanation of what happened and the log files to support(at)zwift…

Connected devices: Magene HR, Rotor INSpider PM, Saris H3 trainer, right zwift play, both Clickv2, Beats PowerBeats Pro2

Nice PC. With that CPU video screenshots would be enabled by default, so I would check that the feature is disabled in Zwift settings. If you’ve been tracking updates to the Nvidia driver, I would revert to the version provided by Microsoft since it’s generally stable. Also check if there are pending Windows updates, install everything and reboot.

Yes you can email support@zwift.com, tell them when the rides were that resulted in a crash, and they should already have access to the logs. It’s likely they will tell you to update video drivers so I would play around with that before contacting them so you can rule out a driver issue before you contact them. Updating Nvidia drivers is typically of no use for Zwift, but if they tell you to do it, you will have to do it to progress with the process. Occasionally running the very latest Nvidia driver causes problems. Running the stable drivers provided by Microsoft is usually very safe, and nothing newer will improve performance.

Thank you. Upgrading one step at a time since I bought a second hand gaming PC a few years back. MOBO and CPU are on to list when the money tree blooms but that’s essentially just a full new computer at that point.

I’ve run a couple SFC /scannow with no issues found, windows and nvidia are up to date with that has been pushed to me.
