Today, we introduce the next phase of the Fitness Trends tracker in Zwift Companion version 3.71. You can read an overview on zwift.com/fitness-tracking.
Zwift Companion version 3.71 (or newer) is required. Verify in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store that you’re on the latest version.
Still useless as a real fitness tracker until you add in running and other endurance sports. Also, if/when you include running in this, runners will need the ability to set their actual HR Zones, not just enter a max HR and have Zwift (incorrectly) set zones.
Still need a way to disable it, since it takes up prime real estate on the App
On the plus side, the trendline perfectly matches what I see on Intervals, and the difference between Intervals and Companion in terms of Fitness is 5 points; 130vs135.
Though, now I get to see why I am near constantly in a state of fresh; the size in form between Overreaching, Productive, Fresh, and Detraining is huge; with productive being half the size of the other three states.
Not seeing any issues here at first glance at least.
Can you please fix the import of rides from Garmin? There is no need to import “indoor rides”. Instead, Zwift should only look at “outdoor rides” … I think it was also part of the PR that Zwift did on this when the feature was introduced. Otherwise the feed is full of duplicate activities for those us who dual record.
The above is the reason why I disabled the “Garmin Sync”.
Update: The FAQ still says that the purpose of connecting to Garmin is to sync outdoor rides…there is nothing about importing indoor rides. Please fix it.
I LIKE the tracker and think it’s a good thing to introduce.
I also think you need a way to minimize or hide it. It’s extremely obnoxious, taking half the screen on opening companion app or going back to the ‘Home’ screen. I know this type of thing drives people to use the platform more. Hide the setting to enable minimize in a menu somewhere if you want, but let advanced users not be forced to navigate around it.
While I like the concept of the fitness tracker, it seems like it still needs a lot of work. I finished my A event for the season on Saturday (a 6 hour gravel ride that wiped me out completely), and my status on Sunday was ‘Fresh’.
While we’re updating the companion app @shooj - can we fix the add to reminder for events? never adds. never sticks. never get reminded. Used to work then just stopped.
What device are you on?
I get one hour reminders for all of my events on iOS without issue here. I think it was wonky for a few days earlier in the year, but no issues since.
Are you possibly leaving the event join page too soon? Because you can do that…
Hit the join button and wait for it to go green next time.
No, sometimes i’m trying days and weeks ahead of time. all updated on app and ios. tried reinstalling - basically when I go to push the button to add reminder then save, if i go back in, the button is turned off. doesnt matter what length of time i choose
it has full permission, but it’s not the ‘add to calendar’ one I mean, it’s the app notification, where you can set 15, 30, 60 min reminder and ‘set reminder’ - the button just never stays on
