Zwift Cog and Garmin Edge Speed Issue

I recently added a Zwift Cog V2 (and click) to my Zwift Hub. Previously I had an 11 speed cassette. I have my Garmin Edge 840 paired to the Zwift Hub as a power meter and trainer. When using the cassette the speed displayed on my Edge would be close to the speed on Zwift. Since the upgrade to the cog the Edge is now showing incredibly high speeds, up to 80Kkm/h on flat roads on occasions but generally around the 60km/h mark. This is causing my Edge to record a far greater distance traveled, compared to Zwift.

Have I set up the cog incorrectly? Is there a setting I need to change within Zwift or the Edge? Do I need to re-pair the Zwift Hub to the Edge? Or is this just normal with using the Cog?

Thanks for any advice or support.

It is not expected that the speed on the Edge will closely match what you see in Zwift because it knows nothing about the game physics or terrain. My guess is the difference is due to a change in the flywheel speed when you switched to virtual shifting, but honestly trying to get those numbers to match up is a fool’s errand. You were lucky if they were ever close.
