You must do all of the workouts and both races to complete it.

How annoying is that… year after year…
Well returning back to Zwift after “summer break” and Zwift Academy is great goal for me. Checking dates from Zwift Companion App… mistake! And I even knew it but still was too lazy to check. So there timeframe for races is stated just from beginning until the end date.
If there is certain dates that races will be available, how hard it could be to put also to CA…

I think the whole academy thing has been a bit of a cluster this year. And I am not interested in having to hunt around on the forum for basic information about events. I found the whole race thing irritating.
As a mass participation event it doesn’t seem to make much sense this year, but people keep signing up…
It was pretty silly looking in Zwift itself under the special section for Zwift Academy - the races tabs always showed “no races” in the next whatever timeframe it was.
The only way I knew when the races were on was via this forum leading off to other websites. That is a big failure.
The workouts were fine, I had no problems with those, just the races were a bit pointless.
Race 2 was extremely boring as a light weight rider - just watch the folks zoom off each lap between 7-12w/kg then use weight to roll fast downhill. Blah…
I would have preferred riding with B but no, I’m stuck with the A folk who all have world tour pro performances despite not looking like one in their profile photos.
So it ended up a 3.3w/kg cruise along to get the bike unlock and counting the 9 boring laps down.
Zwift academy - i am surprised and dissapointed to learn that the races in zwift academy are not availible during the full period. That could have been made clear in the app. Now i will not be able to complete the academy this year. Hope you will take this feedback under consideration for the future

Just completed Fatigue Factor
Zwift says the 3 min and 5 min are to test aerobic. I don’t know if that means they are supposed to be done seated as there is no guidance. I stood for the intervals and pretty sure I used anaerobic capacity.
Do anybody know when I can do “Race 1” of the Academy 2024? I can not find any scheduled races in the calendar.

Don’t think they care, just do the maximum you can there on those segments. That’s what those are about.

Is there going to be a catch-up period for Race 1 & 2 in this year’s Zwift Academy (2024)?
I was away for work in the first patch, then really unwell with Covid during the second, so missed both.
Would really like to complete the programme as I do each year, but can’t find any information on this.
Please Zwift don’t time gate parts of the programme for non-contestant participants within a small period of the overall event. It’s just a bit of fun for the rest of us and not being able to complete it sucks.
If there is some way of doing it then it’s not very well advertised. We could really do with a better way of finding Event Specific races/group sessions - both within the game app as well as the companion app (and further into the future so we can plan our schedules if we travel a lot for work).
Maybe there should be special tabs/filters for events that only list eligible sessions - that way there’s no confusion and they are easy to find.

A: To graduate from Zwift Academy, you’ll need to complete the program’s six workouts and two races between August 5, 2024, and November 3, 2024.
Race 1 will be available August 30, 2024 - September 8, 2024
Race 2 will be available October 4, 2024 - October 13, 2024.
A makeup week will be available for Race 1 and Race 2 October 28, 2024 - November 3, 2024.

Thanks for the clarification, I looked everywhere and didn’t see that mention of the catch up week for Race 1 & 2.
I do still feel though the menu system for finding event sessions needs some work as they get buried in everything else.
A simple filter per event while it is active, showing only the eligible sessions towards that event/badge would make things a lot simpler - especially when viewing on a phone/tablet or with the clumsy AppleTV remote.

I can find out more about undercover cops in my neighborhood than any info on the selected za finalists.
