I do not mind racing against the GC, it has actually made me a better racer in my class D.
Should absolutely be women’s only races, that’s a big mistake if there aren’t any.
The few minutes of commentary here starting at 15:46 seems like a useful summary of the problem. Zwift has the ability to do better because they have have the promotional reach to create a women-only event that has a reasonable field size in multiple categories. It’s a much harder problem for community race organizers. I could create a women-only event and the field sizes would be horrible. (I’d be very interested if I had a strategy to make the event a success. Message me if you have ideas.)
“The overall blokey-ness of everything”
Yeah. Yeah.
What happened to the running academy?
Running and Tri academies were eliminated for this year.
So, the “group workouts” are just individual workouts that start at the same time?
Ah that stinks. Any reason why? Will they come back? Also are they ever going to announce the running academy winners from last year?
Nothing shared about it. Perhaps spending the money on the Grand Prix cycling events.
Just a note - When ZA last included racing (2019) the whole program was split by gender for all events (workouts, group rides and races). This meant that the women’s pens for racing were full and had full category selection availability (not just E pen for all women) because there were no mixed events. There are probably pluses and minuses to the change to not having gendered events, but one definite plus of the old way was that there were robust fields in women races and it encouraged new women to get racing a try.
I have miss workout #1 this week due to work and thing can you still do it and enter the pro contract?
You dont need to complete the workouts in a group event to get credit, they are all available in the training menu
Thank you
Has anyone experienced not receiving credit for a ZA workout selected from the workout menu, completed in a meet-up?
See post 49 above same issue.
I’m sure you remember you had the same issue last year ! I expect Zwift never resolved the issue, hopefully they will bulk credit as they said they would do last year, if of course they are aware this year.
I’ve completed all the workouts and the two races. At the end of race 2 the award icon was there but no text. In the Companion app I’ve completed everything but the bike is not highlighted as though I’ve not completed the academy.
Is there any obvious way to fix this?
I don’t think you get the bike I think you just get the special paint for the Canyon Aeroad bike. The award icon you see is a paint spray can.
“With the completion of the program (six structured workouts and two races) you’ll score the bike paint for the Canyon Aeroad bike; which can be purchased in the Drop Shop after you have reached level 10.”
OK makes sense but I don’t see how I apply the paint job so I’ll recheck tomorrow when I do a ride. Thanks for the reply
@LazzaBoyMan. Just go to the Canyon Aeroad, in your garage. Underneath the color slider, you will see the paint scheme
I just finished my third workout and it shows the “done mark” on the list but it does not show as done in the total progress bar, so no hat unlock. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?
