ZRL Burrito

Hey, what are your thoughts on using the Burrito in Richmond?

Previously, I thought the Burrito tended to harm (at least not benefit) the user.

I didn’t know if that was from poorly timed use or poor design of the power up.

I think I had read it had been tweaked but I have generally discarded my Burritos rather than risk it.

I mean, don’t use the burrito unless you’re trying to destroy the group. The issue with it in ZRL or other big races is if people are using it at the front, people further back in the group are receiving full draft as they’re outside of the powerup’s range. All it does when the race is still together, generally, is slow down the group a little.

The burrito used to stop all others drafting in a radius around the rider using it, so in a group it could cause a split a few riders in front of the user and they could get dropped too if they weren’t able to close the gap.

It was changed to work in a cone behind the user so no longer has the chance of harming the user.

I don’t mind the burrito in Ladder races, those are inherently more tactical and the people doing them generally know what they’re getting into. I think it’s a poor choice of powerup for anything with bigger fields. And a lot of people seem to forget that they can discard an unwanted powerup instead of activating it to get rid of it.

Ban. The. Burrito.
