Windows Vs Apple

In comparison, when I use the app, it detects the trainer after a few seconds.

BUT the app is probably why I keep losing connection.

That’s not right, it should pair in seconds over ANT+. Have you disabled Bluetooth on everything else, since you’re not using it any more? So that’s on the laptop, on your phone, anything else you’ve used to connect to the trainer. Just turn all that off to so that the trainer is only using ANT+ via your dongle to the laptop. Otherwise there’s a chance your trainer is connecting (or trying to connect) to those other things.

Follow these steps:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth everywhere.
  2. Close Zwift and delete the file knowndevices.xml from Documents\Zwift.
  3. Turn off the Zumo and shut down the laptop.
  4. Turn the laptop on and start Zwift, then turn on the Zumo.
  5. Pair Controllable (then power and cadence as necessary) using the FE-C option.

Dave, you are a legend!

As soon as I deleted the file and rebooted it picked up straight away - tested fine :+1: :bike::bike::bike:

Great stuff. :facepunch:

And… having achieved Legend status, Dave H. retires from all things Zwift, never to be seen or heard from again

:joy: :joy: All downhill from here.
