Why are the only partners with Virtual Shifting support, selling the Zwift Cog

As the title says, Tacx, Saris and other partners have implied that Zwift has basically stonewalled them when it comes to communication regarding implementing Virtual Shifting on their platforms.

The partners who are willing to have a separate SKU for their trainers that includes the Zwift Cog, magically have support for virtual shifting across their product line.

It’s been over a year, why is “The #1 Indoor cycling App” playing favorites like this.

The simple answer is likely the correct one. Zwift needs to be profitable, the investors want a ROI, its always about money.

That I can understand, what bothers me is the song and dance we’ve heard “Well, X wants to take their trainers in a different direction, and keep everything within their own ecosystem”

“X simply need to create a firmware update that supports Virtual Shifting”

As a way to deflect blame.
