Will we be getting Ventop 5X, 10X and …wait for it… 25X.
I can’t believe I’m asking for this.
25 X is at least 50 + hours of climbing.
And I thought the Alp 25X was bad.
Thank you sir, may I have another?
I’m not ashamed to say this: I’m afraid of that climb.
Getting up Ventoux in less than three hours (let alone two) requires not just a pretty respectable FTP, but also the tenacity and guts to sit down and grind it out.
But what about the not-so-strong climbers? An average 100 watts output will take most people about five hours to get to the top. That’s a long time to be sitting on a trainer, grinding away at a virtual 4-5 kilometres an hour.
I don’t know who I respect more.
If this ever happens, I’d like it to be a hidden badge - like those “x00-Watt” badges I want to pretend don’t exist as I’ll never reach them.
