Thanks Dave for prompt answer. I dont want to buy it, i have it and just wondered if repurposing it for zwift duties makes any sense. I’ll stay with my laptop for the time being, and will do some cable routing to connect my proper desktop from other room in the future. Thanks again, it was really helpful!
It’s a great candidate for repurposing into a dedicated Zwift PC. 
Yes but 10m hdmi and usb cable is cheaper than 1050ti and then i’d be able to have 4k in ultra. I will repurpose it for my son later.

Sounds like a plan. PS: if you’re going to repurpose the old system for normal gaming, chuck a 4c/8t Xeon in. Basically an i7 for far less money, and other games will make proper use of the threads. In 4th gen the Xeons work in almost all consumer mobos.

I used to use my mac, but now I use my i-pad with an hdmi adapter to an old 24” tv, I didn’t think it would have a hope of working properly, esp with the dreadful internet speed we have but it works fine
