Tour de France 2025

Tour fever has hit Zwift and we are doing a full takeover for the Tour de France!

The Tour de France is one of the most prestigious annual men’s multi-stage races and we are bringing the excitement to Zwift! We will be hosting multiple different types of events throughout the month of July:

You will have the opportunity to unlock the Tour Fever kit by completing either one climb on the Climb Portal Challenge or the L’Etape Virtual Events. By completing the Allez! Allez! Allez! zRacing Monthly Series, you will unlock a unique series badge!

Additionally, the Climb Portal Challenge has additional unlocks you can earn:

  • Complete two climbs, receive a 1000XP bonus
  • Complete three climbs, unlock the Didi Kit
  • Complete four climbs, unlock the Didi Cap

Looking to learn more about the events taking place on Zwift for Tour Fever, you can check out the main page here or the FAQ here!

Nice, I like the Didi Cap, will probably use the 4 climbs as an excuse to level the Zwift MTB. I assume you need to do the 4 different climbs to get it, and not just the short climb 4 times

What’s involved in the RoboPacer Tour Fever takeover? In the graphic it says they will be pointing out Tour facts, but is there more to it than that?

Yeah that makes sense. I didn’t get the email, probably didn’t set my email preferences correctly, ha.

Edit: In the graphic on the linked page it also says “all 4 climbs”.

But do they need to be at 100% ?

does not sound like you need to do them at 100%

Q: How does scaling work with the Tour de France Climb Portal Challenge?

A: For scheduled Tour de France Climb Portal events, the climb scaling is set to 100%. You can access the climbs anytime through the campaign on the home screen to increase or decrease the scaling.

They should give an extra unlock if you do them all at 125%

It’s you giving the extra.
But it is extra sweat.
Unless you count the added fitness gained.

at 125, you go really fast on the way down.

Looks great. However, I did two portal climbs.
I received the kit and credit for the second climb but did not get the xp bonus.
I had 10,000 to go to the next level and I’m still at 9800 to go after the Croix climb.

I jumped in to torture myself yesterday afternoon up the ~8Km ~1200 feet climb #2 in this challenge at 100%.

Things began as expected, with 100% trainer difficulty and me suffering in easiest gear (34/34) for 10mins or so of the climb at ~200W+.

Then resistance got really wonky and I ended up selecting hardest gear (50/11) to get ~130W for the rest of the climb.

I didn’t think to check trainer difficulty in the settings until afterwards, this was set very low at ~10%.

So it looks the climb portal 100% trainer diffulty failed and was overridden by the standard TD settings.

That sounds odd but why did you think it would override your settings?

I could have sworn 100% on a climb portal overrides usual settings and that seemed to be the case early on.

My 11T sprocket almost certainly got the most use by time duration in its history, once resistance dropped very low, like how I’d imagaine in-game 10% trainer difficulty would be! :joy:

After finishing the descent, I noticed the in-game setting and turned it to 100% and all felt ok again, was panicking for a while that my H3’s resistance controller had broken at my weight in the heat up a ~8% climb.

Is there a badge for the 4 climbs?

Nope, but there is a cool hat :smiling_face_with_horns:

Badge is for the July ZRacing series.
