Tour fever has hit Zwift and we are doing a full takeover for the Tour de France!
The Tour de France is one of the most prestigious annual men’s multi-stage races and we are bringing the excitement to Zwift! We will be hosting multiple different types of events throughout the month of July:
You will have the opportunity to unlock the Tour Fever kit by completing either one climb on the Climb Portal Challenge or the L’Etape Virtual Events. By completing the Allez! Allez! Allez! zRacing Monthly Series, you will unlock a unique series badge!
Additionally, the Climb Portal Challenge has additional unlocks you can earn:
Nice, I like the Didi Cap, will probably use the 4 climbs as an excuse to level the Zwift MTB. I assume you need to do the 4 different climbs to get it, and not just the short climb 4 times
What’s involved in the RoboPacer Tour Fever takeover? In the graphic it says they will be pointing out Tour facts, but is there more to it than that?
Q: How does scaling work with the Tour de France Climb Portal Challenge?
A: For scheduled Tour de France Climb Portal events, the climb scaling is set to 100%. You can access the climbs anytime through the campaign on the home screen to increase or decrease the scaling.
Looks great. However, I did two portal climbs.
I received the kit and credit for the second climb but did not get the xp bonus.
I had 10,000 to go to the next level and I’m still at 9800 to go after the Croix climb.
I could have sworn 100% on a climb portal overrides usual settings and that seemed to be the case early on.
My 11T sprocket almost certainly got the most use by time duration in its history, once resistance dropped very low, like how I’d imagaine in-game 10% trainer difficulty would be!
After finishing the descent, I noticed the in-game setting and turned it to 100% and all felt ok again, was panicking for a while that my H3’s resistance controller had broken at my weight in the heat up a ~8% climb.
