I think the T1980 is the old ‘non-smart’ Bushido. This one is not FE-C compatible and will not change resistance. You can still use it with Zwift, but not as a smart trainer.
The one you want is the Bushido Smart (i.e. T2780), released in Sept 2014. This has ANT+ and Bluetooth and is FE-C compatible, so can talk to Zwift and changes resistance when Zwift tells it to (i.e. going up a hill, or to set the ERG mode in workouts).
